Our food is traditional, hearty and organic. We use recipes passed down from generations of our mountain dwelling grandmothers. Mountain-reared lamb, fresh cow’s milk and yoghurt so thick and creamy you could cut it with a knife. Pickled vegetables, bean stew, and of course, a glass of moonshine grappa to cleanse your palate. All food is locally-sourced and sensitive to the local villages and environment, and so fresh that you can see the meat on our spit everyday for yourself!
One of our most famous dishes is what we call Kaçamak – a maize porridge that is a classic traditional meal. Another popular with our guests is our patate furre (potatoes oven baked in milk). By far our most requested dish is goats yoghurt topped with honey – Buni has gained a reputation throughout Albania for having the freshest, creamiest yoghurt.
